Benefits

A range of providers run activities for children and young people during the summer holidays. These are organised and run by experienced staff who plan events and programmes to suit the needs of the children. They provide a safe environment which is fun for the children as well as encouraging useful learning.

During the Easter holidays, secondary schools may arrange opportunities for senior pupils to do revision and to prepare for examinations. Some secondary schools offer P7 pupils the opportunity to attend events to experience the school they will be moving to after the summer holidays. Other secondary schools may arrange this before or during the summer holidays.
