Introduction

Bullying is when people use deliberate words or actions to hurt someone emotionally or physically. It can make children feel hurt, or damage their confidence and self-esteem.

Your child will need your support if they’re being bullied. They need to know they’ll get help to solve the problem, or that someone will take action to stop the bullying. Children and young people who feel confident of this will be more willing to tell someone, and will recover from their hurt.

The good news is that you can help your child meet the challenges of growing up so that they overcome difficulties, including being bullied or bullying others.
